You gotta love African culture. The way we respect and honor our elders is beyond beautiful. Look how Philo gracefully bowed and handed her own car keys to her unbearably unreasonable mother-in-law. She could've stood up to her and told her the hard truth but she didn't.
Now imagine that scene playing out in an American movie, it would be a totally different outcome.
